Qatar and Nakilat Partner for Largest LNG Fleet Expansion Deal

QatarEnergy, a major LNG producer, and Nakilat, a renowned shipping company, have signed a record-breaking agreement for 25 newbuild LNG carriers, boosting Qatar's position as a global energy leader.

• QatarEnergy charters 25 new LNG vessels from Nakilat, expanding its fleet to over 100 ships.

• These vessels, built in South Korea, will support expansion projects and replace existing infrastructure.

• The deal follows QatarEnergy's successful 2022 agreements for 60 LNG ships.

• Qatar secured major LNG offtake deals with India, China, and others, solidifying its market position.

• North Field expansions will increase Qatar's production capacity to 126 million tons per annum by 2026.
